UGH.....

Morning sickness SUCKS!!! That's all I really have to say. This morning was rough. No matter that I ate my applesauce (which I might add was the ONLY thing that sounded good to me) I still felt really icky an hour later and while at my nanny job decided that it would be fun to almost get sick. HA!!! Aidan was so curious and just wanted to come "watch." I was to busy trying to not throw-up (sorry to those who didn't want to know that) to answer Aid. He thought it was quite fascinating that Mommy was not feeling good.

Once it passed I laid on the couch for about 10 minutes until I had to wake the kiddo's up. The worst was that their dad was still home, luckily out in the garage and had not a clue what was going on with me, but still knowing that he could come in at any second and see me trying not to puke was embarrassing. He was getting ready for a weekend rally that he was taking Emily (the oldest) to for her pony club. The rest of the day has been a whole lot of trying anything that sounds good, a whole lot of NOTHING, and sleeping/resting while Aidan watches movies and plays. And its a nice day outside to boot. I feel awful for Aid not being able to go outside. OH well, as long as i get this out of the way before summer is in full swing. Oh but, I did try a cinnamon raisin English muffin at Costco and that tasted SO good that I bought a package and have eaten one already!! Starting to feel a hair better but I am not going to hold my breath. I just hope that tomorrow when we are celebrating Aidan's 3rd birthday with his friends that I am not feeling sick. Anyhow, there's the update. I'll update pics on the blog and the dropshots account after the party tomorrow.

Busy Saturday

What a weekend!! I am exhausted and its only 8:30pm on Sunday evening!! Let's see, what has been going on. Saturday was a very fun filled packed busy day. We woke up and John took Aidan to the in-laws (his parents) and we (he and I) went to IKEA for their no tax weekend. We have been saving and saving for about 5-6 months for this trip!! We didn't get everything we wanted but we got most of it. What did we get you ask?? We bought a wardrobe, a 6-drawer dresser a smaller (in width) 5-drawer dresser, flooring (we are making our dining area into a laminate floored area over the carpeting), another bookshelf and doors, and a mirror for above our dresser in our room. It sounds like a lot but we didn't have our own bedroom furniture so we figure that we will buy some cheaper stuff to hold us over for now and sometime when we have our own home and can afford nicer furniture we will buy something else. We'll then pass this down to one of the kiddo's room's.

We had to give the dresser and wardrobe that we were using back. It was my parents and my sister had used it growing up and since they bought their house in July, she has wanted it back. Mom had "given" it to her but my dad had given me the wardrobe back in college. I cut a deal so that we could use it until Memorial day weekend and then she could have it back. So, even though our money should have gone to bills and such, I wasn't going to have our clothes on the floor for the next year or so until we could save enough for our trip to IKEA as well as wait for the sale. John agreed. Frustrating but relieving because now we know that no one will be coming and saying that they want it back or that its theirs, etc. We are happy with it and that's all that matters. Katie was to busy in fact to come and pick it up today like we had set up so we hauled it down to the carport and a half hour later when I called to see when she was going to be there (45 minutes after she said she would be here) she was like oh yea we just got back from boating and now we are mowing our lawn....so John and I hauled the stuff back up. Needless to say he was late to work tonight by 15 min. or so. Thank goodness we live only 5 minutes away. It was frustrating none the less.

So this ended up being about Saturday mainly and a bit of venting, but it was bothering me the amount of work that we have done in the last 24 hours getting it ready for her and outside since Aid was asleep when they were coming just to have to bring it back in. We have everything on our bed right now and I have no idea where we are sleeping tonight but I am currently on the phone with my so wonderful hubby and he is bringing me a sandwich from Subway!! CRAVING!! I had one for dinner and now am hungry again about 4 hours later!! OH well. I am growing a baby and I deserve the food. I have actually lost weight too I think. I was just on the scale after Aid was tonight and I am about 2-3 pounds lighter than I was even a week ago in the evening. Anyway, I digress. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and hope you all have Monday off and are able to relax and spend it with your friends and families!!!

Aidan EXHUASTED after a long day in the sun!

94, 85, and so far 75....

This is the weather that we have had this last weekend. Saturday was a scorcher and Friday was pretty warm too. We went to Redmond Town Center (RTC) on Friday and I got a bit to hot and was light headed and not feeling 100%. Then, Saturday we helped a friend celebrate her birthday with a BBQ. I sat in the kitchen with the front door and the back door's open and enjoyed the draft!! Kids were running in and out of the doors all day long so it was perfect.

Yesterday, Sunday, we went out and played in the sun and watched flag football games where we thought the family I nanny for was playing but we ended up not seeing them. After ice cream we went to RTC to play in the fountain. So much fun. We'll probably end up there after nap time today too. It looks like its a bit overcast out but it is still REALLY warm. John and I both got sun burnt but the Arbonne baby sunblock was amazing for Aidan because he isn't pink at all. I just hope I don't have to reach up high because my shoulders hurt the worst of all. So, I'll have to post pictures after I load them onto the computer. Look for more pictures and videos sometime today or tomorrow. Stay cool or try to!!

HOT HOT HOT!!!

Hello from the SUNNY and HOT northwest!!! Today was an absolutely gorgeous day!! I am so excited for more days like this. Although I did sleep through about 3 hours of prime weather it was so worth it. I had to work at 6am this morning so I was up and at 'em early. Then after we came home and John made us breakfast. We had very yummy pancakes...I had been craving pancakes since last night so it was nice to satisfy that craving. More on the pregnancy and cravings in a bit. After we ate, I was exhausted and laid down. Next thing I know I am waking myself in a coughing fit. Still getting over this silly cold.

I woke up around 1pm and was surprise surprise, starving....again. I couldn't find ANY food. Our shelves were literally bare in our refrigerator. I have been putting off grocery shopping. So I ended up at Taco del Mar. Second day in a row. I was so full after that. I had to pick up Emily (the girl I nanny for) from school at 2pm so I swung by after doing that. YUMMY!!! I came home and Aidan woke up about the time I got home and I convinced him that he wanted to get up even if he was fussy. We all went to Redmond Town Center to play in the fountain. We were only there for about an hour but I have some tan lines already!! It was so nice to be out in the sun and Aidan had a blast. We got a bunch of pictures that I will upload tomorrow after tomorrow. We ended our night by going to Costco with Monica and getting groceries that were much needed!! We have food now!!! Hooray!! Monica came over to watch Mad Money with me. It wasn't that bad. Kinda cute. Made me almost wish that it could actually be reality...almost.

Ok, onto my pregnancy. Still feeling really good. I have even let myself feel really hungry a few times which wasn't bad like it was with Aidan. Had I done that with Aidan I would have been dry heaving. No fun. I am knocking on wood that the rest of my first trimester stays as comfortable as this one has. I told John tonight that it was like I almost didn't believe that I was pregnant still because I feel drastically different than I did with Aidan and am not as tired as I was with him. I can take a 2-3 hour nap in the middle of the day and wake up refreshed and then be up until my normal time. Although this is around the time that I found out with Aidan that I was prego so I am wondering if the morning sickness and exhaustion will kick in more this next week. Hmmm. Oh well. I will take this while I can.

As for food cravings, it has been salty foods and Mexican. My tummy is growling as I type and its 11:30pm!!! I can eat one minute adn literally a half hour later be STARVING as if I never ate!! It's crazy!! Things such as soda, candy, chocolate I am not preferring. I haven't cared for the taste of the chocolate and the toher sweets are just that to sweet. I have also wanted a ton of fruit. Just things that are refreshing and tasty. It changes from day to day sometime. Although today in the sunshine I felt lightheaded and needed to sit down and get cool. I never experienced that with Aidan so I will have to be aware of how warm I am getting through this summer!! I'll keep you updated on future pregnancy related stuff. Sorry this post was so long. It was a busy week/day.
