Redhook Brewery...10-year HS Reunion Night 1

Ok, so the first day of the reunion was fun!! John and I dropped off Aidan at the in-law's house and headed to Redhook Brewery. It was a bit crazy finding a parking spot because of a concert at the winery across the street! We parked in a painted over handicapped spot so it was technically no longer a handicapped spot. We ended up getting dinner there. I was STARVING!!!

As many of you already know, we had a busy day. I worked that morning, we went to the farm with Makenna and Aidan (John was off work that day). After lunch and a VERY short nap we headed to Evergreen Hospital where we met with my midwives. The midwife we saw that day even put her guess in for what our bundle of joy was going to be. Her guess was girl. So after this we headed to the cafeteria for a quick bite (I didn't eat lunch with the kids) and then to my ultrasound appointment. After the ultrasound I had to get my blood drawn, and then we headed home and waited for Alexa to pick up Makenna!! We headed to the in-laws then. Oh and Thursday evening was a wedding for a good friend of mine. Busy week.

So we made it and John had been saying that we didn't need to go that night and we would be fine going on Saturday only. I insisted and turns out he was happy I did. He thoroughly enjoyed himself not to mention that he had a few yummy beers. We missed the tour but that's ok. It's not like we don't live 15 minutes from Redhook. So we were there until about 10:30pm. I was exhausted because I had been up since 5am and didn't have a nap. I also had a training the next morning and was being picked up at 8am so I needed sleep. We also still had to pick up Aidan. So we headed to pick up Aid and then home. It was nice to get some sleep. It was going to be a crazy weekend!!

John ended up having a great time hanging out and catching up with people he hasn't seen in 10 years and was very happy that I pushed him to go. We forgot to take photos both nights though. Boo. That will change when it is my reunion in 2 years!

Just a reminder....

Ok people, tomorrow is the day!! It's our ULTRASOUND!! I am so excited to see who is kicking me and moving around inside my belly. I have been feeling a LOT more movement in the last few days. Its been a lot of fun!! John is STILL adamant that we are not finding out but I think I might have the U/S tech write it down and put it in an envelope and we can do that and argue some more and hopefully I win!!

Everyone needs to convince John that we want to find out! I LOVED not knowing with Aidan but this pregnancy has been so far that I want to find out. Not that that makes the symptoms any better but still it would be nice to connect and also nice to help Aidan get excited about a baby brother or sister. He says sister 99.9% of the time so we'll see if my little boy is right or wrong. I figure we only have 20 more weeks until we find out for certain if we don't find out tomorrow but I don't want to wait another 20 weeks!!

Keep your fingers crossed for finding out and for a girl!! I really want some excuse to bring a ton of pink or purple in the apartment!!!!!! Either way as long as baby is healthy I'm happy!!! Look for updates tomorrow or Monday. It's also the 10-year HS reunion weekend for John and my cousins wedding in Oregon on Sunday. So lots of updates and posts on Monday or Tuesday. Stay tuned!!!

Just hanging out taking in the day!

Ok, now that I have added pictures let me tell you about the weekend!!
FRIDAY!!! August 8th
Uncle Ryan's first day in town! Greg and Ryan met up with John and had lunch with him while John was on route. Then at 4pm they came and picked Aidan up to take out to Grandma and Grandpa's house. They played until I got there around 6:30pm or so. We ate dinner and then John FINALLY got there after he got off work and he ate. We hung out until around 10pm or so and then went home to get a good nights sleep for the BUSY weekend ahead.
Saturday, August 9th!
We hung out at home and cleaned and rested getting ready for the BBQ that Greg and Nina were hosting since Ryan was home. It was mostly Greg's family that made the BBQ and Nina's sister who lives in Kirkland. Ryan also had a buddy that he knows from grade school come with his family. Lots of kids it was rainy off and on and fun. Lots of good food too. After the BBQ I left to meet up with a few girlfriends for my friend Darcia's bachelorette party. John and Aidan stayed and they gave Aidan a bath and put him to bed. Uncle Ryan read him bedtime books and then Aidan went to bed. When I got back they were playing a card game as a family and sent me out for pizza. We ate pizza hung out and watched the end of the Mariners game. John and I then got Aidan in the car and headed home. It was around midnight I think. We were so tired.
Sunday, August 10th
BUSY DAY!!
We got up and I went to mass with my mom and Katie and her family. John went to Woodinville Alliance were he already committed to something that ended up not happening. So he and Aidan met us at the breakfast place we all went to. The 7 of us (Mom, Katie, Dave, Alexis, John, Aidan and myself) all had breakfast treated by mom!! Thanks MOM!! Then we headed down to visit Papa since this was his 2 year anniversary. We put flowers on his grave, Aidan's favorite part. The kids ran around and we all hung out as a family with Papa for a little while. We finally looked at the clock and it was 1:15pm, the time we were suppose to leave our apartment for the wedding. Oops, we didn't get to our apartment until the time that the wedding started. So I jumped in the shower quickly and got dressed. We left and got to the reception (missed the ceremony...boo) and I think we got there right after the ceremony ended. They started eating almost immediately after we got there which I was happy about since I was STARVING!!! We hung out and enjoyed seeing John's cousin Julie and her new hubby Ron along with the rest of the family. We headed home around 5:30pm and went to my mom's house where we had a BBQ with my cousins who were in town from New York. Also the other cousins/uncles in the area (Seattle area) were there too!! It was a fun potluck BBQ. After we went home and went to bed SO early it was unbelievable. Uncle Ryan also left the wedding about an hour after we got there to head back to San Diego. We sure enjoyed seeing him and can't wait to see him in December for another whirlwind trip around Christmas!!
So that was our weekend!! Hope you all enjoyed the photos and such.

Dad's 2 year annivesary....

Nana & Aidan cleaning Papa's headstone

So I since I am WAY behind on posting I didn't know where to start...I figured that I should start with my dad's 2nd anniversary. I can't believe its been 2 years already. It seems surreal that Dad has been gone that long. I feel as if I was walking through my parents garage and into the house with Aidan just yesterday to let the two of them play.

Nana, Papa & the grandkids!

The hardest thing with having him gone is knowing that my kids won't know Papa and won't have the opportunity to grow up with their Papa in their lives like I did with my grandpa's (and grandma's too). It's hard being pregnant and knowing that my dad will never meet this baby, and vice versa. He won't be walking down the L/D (Labor & Delivery) hall with a HUGE smile on his face anxious to meet the latest member of the family or being able to see my dad cuddle with the new bundle.

Aidan & I with Papa

A panaramic view of the cemetary...somehow Katie got in the photo twice!! HAHA!!!

It's hard every time I go down since I found out I was pregnant (was hard before too) because I can't help but ALWAYS think of this down there. We will make sure that baby knows Papa and knows what a wonderful man he was. Ok, onto the pictures....enjoy!! We love you Daddy and miss you more than you know!!

It was a long week or so....

So I know I promised to post pictures and a blog on Monday, but I was SO not feeling good. I even had to go see a specialist to "clear" up the issue. Not fun. I was able to take the medication that they told me to take yesterday and was sick all day and then finally by evening I felt back to my old self. Thank goodness. So, now that I am feeling better...I am now able to do the posts and picture updates that I wanted to do earlier in the week!! So enjoy and just know that I am all better and don't worry, baby is still alive and well, although I haven't been feeling that many strong kicks lately and am anxious and want to feel more of those miraculous little kicks!!! So there you have it!! Onto the better posts and the more fun posts!!
