Ok, so Aidan's latest word of the day is "now." Whether it is a question or a statement, or just to say it a million times without stopping, it is always, NOW. Sometimes he is demanding, sometimes he is questioning something.
Today while we were in the car headed to pick up the kiddo's that I am doing a nanny job for this week, he asked if we could go home. I told him that we needed to go pick up Kevin, take him home, then go pick up Lisa and take her home (their Grandma was at their house when we got their both times). Aidan had to ask...."Now?" I replied "yes honey, now." He asked for another 3 minutes "now?"
I was about ready to turn the radio up and start singing along. HA not really finally we were passing the farm where we go all summer for the tots program. So we got on that topic. That was another 3 minutes of now's because he wanted to go, you guessed it, NOW!!! Stay tuned for more word of the day's!

Just Because
So, I really don't have a purpose to this post, but thought I would just say hi. I have had a busy week and it is going to get busier over the next few days. I am doing a nanny job which is a nanny job but not. Essentially I drive her kids around while she is in Vegas with her hubby at one of his conventions.
I am doing this trip, their next trip to Italy in April and their trip to Bermuda in June. Then I probably will be doing the trip to France in October. So, I pretty much just drive the kids to school, home, gymnastics, pick them up from school and gymnastics and drive them back home, oh and to give their Grandma a break. It's a lot of driving and Aid's in the car a lot but as long as he stays happy.....it shouldn't be to bad right? Oh well. This is the second time I've done this for them. Oh well.
Right now we really could use the money even if its not that much. With John taking on a second job for 6 months and the bible study wrapping up....we are playing catch up and we have our Esurance bill coming up for car insurance in the end of April early May to pay and I need to make sure we have enough for that. Wish me luck on the road with the possibility of snow in the forecast. Thank goodness the studded tires are still on the car. Have a safe week wherever you are at.

Potty success!!!
WARNING: If you are not a parent, you might be grossed out by this and might not, I repeat NOT want to read the following....if you do, don't blame me you had a fair warning.
Ok, so today while I was in the shower, Aidan was in the bathroom with me, as usual, and he decided that he needed to use his potty. Well, he proceded to take off his diaper and sit on his potty. I didn't blink twice because this is the kid who while we are playing or I am on the phone, will run away and not say anything until he returns. Then he announces that he peed in the potty all by himself. So anyway, he get's up as I am rinsing out the shampoo from my hair and said poop. I was a bit confused at first and said "good Aid, you went pee pee!!" He said "no mom, poopy." By this time I peeked out curious to as what I would find in the potty. Sure enough!! HE POOPED!!! This was a first time that he EVER has done this.
When I got out of the shower I gave him a big huge smooch and once I was dressed we called Daddy and he was over the moon too. Aidan told Nana when we got to her house for a day-after-Easter shin dig with just us and Nana. She was so excited too. We decided to not put a diaper on him and he went potty at Nana's (just pee) and we went to the park after Nana's and ran to the potty twice because he told me he needed to go. SO, he has been in big boy underroo's since around 3pm today. He is such a rockstar at this potty training thing. I don't push and we just suggest that we should put big boy underroo's on and if he want's to he can if not, no worries. It's if he feels like it and wants to do it. Anyhoo, thanks for listening to me ramble!! I am a super proud Mommy and proud of all my little man's accomplishments!!

Easter!!
"Look what I found mom!"
Coloing eggs the night before.Happy Easter!! We had a wonderful relaxed day. We spent Saturday at the Boone's (Alexa, Tim, McKenna, & Kaitlyn) playing outside while Alexa gardened. Once the boy's got there we ate dinner which was a super yummy pasta dish that she whipped up. After we boiled eggs and colored eggs. Aidan sure got the hang of it!! He stuck his fingers in and tried to pull the eggs out with his fingers!! We left there house around 10pm. This is way past Aid's bedtime, but I figured that it's not every night that he gets to color eggs so it worked out.
Pre-hunt picture
Ready to find some eggs!
The next morning we were back at Alexa's for brunch with her family. We were there from 9am until noon or so. We had an Easter egg hunt and YUMMY food. We came home and Aidan slept for 3 hours!! We then went out to Grandma & Grandpa's house. We ended up staying there until John met us. He is now working at Home Depot on the weekend's to make ends meet. So we had dinner and came home and Aidan opened his Easter basket and had a mini egg hunt. We had to wake him up in the morning to take him to Alexa's so we had to wait for his Easter basket.

On the go to another egg!!
Counting his chicks before they have hatched!!
On the go to another egg!!
We were suppose to go over to my mom's after my in-law's but that was cancelled because Mom/Nana was sick with an incredibly bad cold/cough. It was worse than the one we got. So we did it today, just Aidan, Nana, and myself. So I hope everyone had as wonderful and as blessed Easter as we did. We are getting over colds so we feel very lucky to not be sick.

If its not one thing its another...
Ok, so Aidan is FINALLY over pink eye and he HATED his drops at the end. I don't blame the poor guy though. Over the weekend he had a fever and quite the cough. John was at training for Home Depot where he will be working on Saturday's and Sunday's for 6 months. Anyhow I digressed. So, Aidan had a super super runny nose, and horrible cough. We watched a few movies and over all laid low.
The outcome.....I have the cold now. I thought it was just a cold but after buying Zyrtec-D yesterday I took one and within an hour I felt SO much better!! I was so happy until this morning when I didn't want to get up and felt like a Mack truck had run over my head. It's all in my head which I guess is nice because I don't the gross cough, I'm waiting for it, just the stuffy sinuses and sneezing and such. Anyhow, as I am typing I am realizing that my allergy meds are wearing off and its about time to have some Mucinex or something fun like that.
On another note, Aidan has been, well, spirited. I am being nice too. He is not listening and is using his "no's" a TON and is doing things he knows better than to do. He hardly ever gets time-outs and he had 3 at Target yesterday alone and ignored me and my discipline and that was not fun. He was being very LOUD too. Oh well. I guess this is just the start of 3's!! After today, I was ready for him to be in pre-school. I can't wait for the 2 1/2 hour break that I will get and he will get to try his antics on others. Hee Hee Hee. Just kidding. I think getting out tomorrow will be good for us and we are hoping for sun so that we can go to Perrigo Park and play!! Get some willies out outside instead of at home.
On another note, he has been dry in big boy underwear all weekend whenever he has them on. We try and have them on whenever we are home as long as its after he does his "morning business" if you follow my drift.
And on even another note, John and I have been asked if we would accept the honor of being Godparents to Christina & Shaun's baby that is due mid-November!! I am so excited and have come up with the nickname (at least until they find out the sex) of calling the baby Godbaby or peanut. We have only known that we are the godparents since Monday evening so needless to say I am SO excited. We are also Logan's godparents, Christina's nephew. So the cousins will be our Godkids. So cool!! I am SO honored. What a privealge it is to be this little human beings God Mommy!!

Sick day fun!!
Showing off our "art work"
Ok, so tonight Aidan and I had a lot of fun after dinner. It was time for his last dosage of drops in his eyes and he didn't want to have them, or anyone near his eyes anymore. I don't blame him either. So he was sitting on my lap and grabbed one of our pen's on our desk that I use quite often. It was a pen that you use for coloring and such, not a ball point pen.
Mr. Goopy Eye is his current nickname. He looks SO good here compared to this morning!!
He decided while I was busy texting my girlfriend who was checking in on him to see how he was doing, to "draw" on my face!! The little stinker. His face got all marked up too. My arm and my face have Aidan art on it. His face has mommy art on his. Minutes earlier he was crying and saying "No more medicine drops" and pretty upset. Now he was giggling like crazy!! It made me wish John were home to take a video of him being so darn cute!!
John got a profile shot of us!!! BEAUTIFUL!!
Finally when he decided that my t-shirt was now the new canvas we put the pen away. Fun like this is only ok every rare once in awhile. He then laid down on the ground so that I could put his drops in and he didn't move again like earlier!! I have such a great little man who is SO brave!! So, enjoy the photos from today and we'll update later.
One eye, two eye, blue eye, PINK eye
Well, if the title doesn't help at all, Aidan woke up this morning and his goopy eye was much worse. Sure enough the doctor confirmed my suspicion, pink eye.
I woke him up at 8:40am since I needed to be at the church by 9am and was already running late. He wasn't up yet (not like him) and I looked at him and his right eye was "glued" shut. Poor guy I used wipes and after 5 minutes of wiping the goop was finally off enough that he could open his eye. So on my way to church (to work with the kiddo's during the Women's Bible Study) I called the doctor and made a 12:20pm appointment. Once we got there my girlfriend urged me to call again and get him in earlier. I did and by 10:15am we had prescription in hand a princess sticker on his pj's (yes his choice, and no he never got dressed today) and we were on our way to Target.
We filled our prescriptions (mine for my thyroid and his for his pink eye) and bought him a special "treat" for doing so well with his drops and at the doctors office. After this we were headed back to the church so that I could make sure everything went smoothly and touch base with the other ladies in the room. We put his drops in at church and he said "I don't want this mommy" but he was brave and let me do both sides without me holding him down!!
I was very impressed since I've heard horror stories of holding down 2 year old and 3 year old to put drops in their eyes or ear or whatever. Aidan was a champ!! He even let me put them in again after naps. We have to do this for a week 3 times a day so hopefully he continues to be such a good sport about things. He has a special treat of a little chocolate milk, or today chocolate pudding from his lunchable (another special treat the lunchable that is) for doing SO well with everything.
We are having a very low key day and tomorrow will be much the same. So hopefully I can take more pictures and post more pictures of our day tomorrow. Let's hope that I don't get pink eye too, I've never had it and never have seen it before today, but I think John had it last week and it went away on its own. He had the same thing going on with his eye. So, look for more posts tomorrow and the next day about what we are doing with our down time!! Hope you are all healthy!
